Weight Restriction Enforcement Update 

As part of our ongoing beat priorities, we continue to monitor and tackle breaches of weight restrictions within our local villages.

Today, officers observed an HGV driving through a weight-restricted zone without any lawful reason to be there. The vehicle was stopped, and after speaking with the driver, a Traffic Offence Report was issued.

Weight restrictions are in place to protect our villages, improve road safety, and reduce damage to local roads. We will continue to carry out patrols and enforcement activity where necessary.
